Care Assistant - Stroud


The Human Support Group is a national company that was established in 1998 and provides homecare to over 3,500 service users each week. We are currently looking for exceptional care assistants to support our local branch in Gloucester.
We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to deliver care to the people of Gloucester on behalf of Gloucester County Council and this is an exciting time for the Human Support Group. We are looking for people to join the local team who are caring, compassionate and enthusiastic. The successful candidates will be pivotal in providing a safe, effective, caring and responsive service

Who are we looking for?
• Previous experience in Health and Social Care is desirable
• Access to your own vehicle is essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A positive attitude

What is the role?
The role of the Care Assistant involves assisting people to live independently in their own homes, assistance with everyday tasks such as personal care, showering, bathing, cooking, medication administration and general housekeeping are some of the duties that you would be expected to undertake.
You will be travelling to homes in the Gloucester area so the use of your own vehicle is essential as well as the ability to work independently. You will need to ensure that accurate and detailed records are made regarding each service user so a good level of literacy is required. Your role will also involve liaising on a daily basis with service users, other care staff, service user families and Health Professionals so your communication and customer service skills should be second to none.
The service operates 7 days a week from 7.00am to 10.00pm
Successful candidates will need to complete an Enhanced DBS check shortly after a successful interview,
