Home Care and Support Worker

Job Summary
20 to 35 hour contracts are offered with the option of overtime if and when available.
Must be flexible Days/ Evenings/ Weekends &
Sleep ins are paid in addition to the salary
Car Driver Essential
Previous experience is desirable although full training will be provided.
Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure

You are employed to assist in the provision of a high quality service that enables the people you work with to develop an independent and individual lifestyle using a person centred approach.
You are required to work in accordance with the stated Policies, Philosophy, Aims and Objectives of St. Vincent’s and St. George’s Association.
We aim to involve the people that we support in all areas and provide them with as normal a life as possible regardless of their disability.

We recognise that this work can be demanding and stressful at times and it is essential that you can maintain a positive attitude and provide a good role model at all times.
You will receive client specific training, which may include for example Autism or Positive Behaviour Management, relevant to the individual or group you will be working with.
This will help develop your ability to think fast and act quickly and appropriately with each person.
In return we offer excellent support which includes a high level of supervision from both your line Manager and immediate peers
