Behavioural Support Lead
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Under the supervision of the Registered Managers, develop therapeutic relationships with the people in your care to implement positive interventions as stated in individual care plans.
•Working in homes and observe challenging behaviours.
•Develop and lead on Care Plans/Challenging Behaviour Support plans.
•Data Gathering and assimilation of data to evaluate relevant trends etc.
•Assessment of behavioural concerns.
•Debriefing and support of staff following incidents.
•Attending team meetings to talk through behavioural strategies.
•To feed back to the teams and others involved in the care, information regarding any changes observed in the client’s behaviours, mental state or social circumstances analysing any immediate risks and taking appropriate action.
•To participate in the mentoring of new staff.
•To maintain accurate records at all times.
•To plan and organise own daily work activities in an effective and efficient way under the supervision of the Registered Managers..
•To promote opportunities for individuals to create and develop friendships with other citizens.
•To provide support for colleagues through the company as requested.
•Provide telephone/face to face support for people who may be in acute distress under the supervision of the senior practitioners.
Working with clients and their carers and family to assess their needs and drawn up PBS plans, monitoring the implementation of recommendations. Working with other health and social welfare professionals to help clients with basic living and social skills and manage their behaviour to ensure they lead as normal life as possible.
NVQ3 or Health and Social Care Diploma Level 3 required.
