Support Workers (Chipping Campden)
"Meet Brandon Trust at the Jobs Fair, Cheltenham Town Hall, 10am-1pm, Wednesday 18 July. Visit our main website for details.
About the role
The individuals you’ll support are mature in years and young in outlook. They all have different needs and disabilities affect them in different ways; they have complex needs.
You’ll support them to access community activities; from going out socialising and to the theatre, to attending swimming and hydrotherapy sessions. You'll support these individuals in all activities of daily living at home, including supporting with household tasks, personal care and preparing meals to name a few.
You’ll be joining a well-established and friendly team so there will always be someone you can turn to for guidance.
It’s a job that can be challenging at times, but this is balanced by the sense of long-term satisfaction it also gives.
You’re compassionate, you love working with people, have their wellbeing as your top priority, and are able to build relationships based on trust, respect and consideration. You’ll also need to be patient and understanding of people’s varied needs. A confident problem solver and a creative thinker with good communication skills, you’ll overcome challenges with positivity, commitment and enthusiasm.
You’ll need to be flexible around shift and weekend work as many roles include a 24/7 rota. It is highly desirable that you have a full driving licence, and are able and willing to use your own vehicle on business (for which mileage expenses will be paid).
If you’re new to social care we provide full training programme and on-going career development; find out more about our career pathways on our main website.
Successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
