Home Care and Support Worker

Job Summary
We are a Charity that supports vulnerable adults within the community, both in our services and their own homes. Our support workers enjoy flexibility and are able to work across our services in Cheltenham and Gloucester.
All relevant training courses and a full shadow shift schedule is provided during an intensive induction period, ensuring new staff the confidence to carry out the role successfully. Ongoing training is regularly maintained and provided to all staff and the hours form part of your schedule/rota hours.
There are no upfront training fees and courses are externally run, so all certification is transferable.
You are employed to assist in the provision of a high quality service that enables the people you work with to develop an independent and individual lifestyle using a person centred approach.
We aim to involve the people that we support in all areas and provide them with as normal a life as possible regardless of their disability.
We recognise that this work can be demanding and stressful at times and it is essential that you can maintain a positive attitude and provide a good role model at all times.
You will receive client specific training, which may include for example Autism or Positive Behaviour Management, relevant to the individual or group you will be working with. This will help develop your ability to think fast and act quickly and appropriately with each person.
