As a Activities Coordinator you will be responsible for planning and implementing activities for residents throughout the home appropriate to their needs and requests.
The activities must promote variety and social interactions. The successful applicant must be able to organise both group and one to one activities to ensure that person centred activities are received. You will need to assess all residents, and create an activity plan individually based respecting their decisions, wishes, cultural and religious beliefs.
The positions provide an exciting opportunity to work with our residents to provide a meaningful personalised service by supporting, arranging and participating in daily activities for the residents to enjoy both within and outside the home. The applicant must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of dementia and be able to use their own initiative.
Please note that the shift pattern will include weekends on a rota basis
•Have experienced understanding of dementia
•Are interested in working within a caring environment
•Have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
•Possess good interpersonal and customer skills.
•Are a Team Player
•Possess skills to work with outside agencies
•Are willing to participate in vocational training programmes
•Have experience of working within a care setting this is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
•Have a flexible approach to working hours as the role will include evenings and weekends.
