Donna started her career in care about four years ago as a part time Care Worker. She quickly moved on to become a Support Supervisor and then recently became the Recruitment & Training Lead.
Donna joined Bluebird care with no formal qualifications in care and had previously been a trained hair dresser. She did however have lots of personal experience with family members and her training really hasn’t stopped since she joined.
Donna explains that Bluebird look for staff with a caring nature, a desire to make a difference to somebody’s life and a smile, because that is what their customers want.
By working in care it opens up so many opportunities. Donna has built her self confidence and if you had said to her 5 years ago she would be in the role she is now she would never have believed it.
