Louise's Story

Louise had no experience of working within the care sector when she started in her first role in April 2009.

Starting as a Support Worker, Louise was given a thorough training package to ensure she had the skills to be able to do her job well. Louise quickly progressed to a Senior Support Worker and in 2017 became a Home Lead.

Louise believes that it is important that a team is made up of a range of different personalities, and values the range of strengths and skills that all the individuals she works with bring to their roles. To ensure that people feel confident in their work, Louise ensures that their training and development is adapted to their individual needs. This means that the team can work well together to ensure that the needs of the people they support are being met.

As the Home Lead, Louise is passionate about making sure that service users come first; she wants to ensure that they are being empowered to be the best that they can be. Louise loves being able to help people on their journey to a more fulfilling and independent life, and this is what makes Louise Proud to Care.
