Acorn Health & Safety

Acorn Health & Safety are a training and consultancy provider in health and safety.

They offer a costed moving and handling train the trainer course which is endorsed by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. This course is for people with a responsibility for the welfare and training of staff with regards to the moving and handling of people, be it in residential, nursing or home-based settings. Delegates who successfully complete the course can then train their staff in the manual handling of people.

This six day course provides the knowledge, skills and confidence to train others in the moving and handling of people, and in conducting manual handling risk assessments. The course is offered regularly at Acorn Health & Safety's training centre in Warmley, Bristol, and can also be delivered in-house (subject to the venue having available equipment necessary to complete the training).
