Active Gloucestershire

Active Gloucestershire is an independent charity with a vision for everyone in Gloucestershire to be active everyday. Co-ordinated by Active Gloucestershire, 'we can move' is a social movement designed to get more people active in the county.

Training and development opportunities include the following:

Inclusive Activity Programme (IAP) – this is an opportunity which will upskill you, your employees, and volunteers on how to make activities fun and inclusive for everyone. It is ideal for community groups and organisations, disability organisations, and individuals supporting disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.

Active Gloucestershire have purchased some licences for Gloucestershire-based organisations and community groups to enable them to access the IAP e-learning training offer for free. More information on the training can be found here. If you would like to access this training, please email benlangworthy@activegloucestershire.org

Live Longer Better Lifestyle course – this online course has been developed for anyone who is looking to live a better life and anyone who is caring for an older adult. After this course you will have tools to ensure that you or those you support have the best quality of life possible. The collaborative classroom environment will give you the opportunity to share your experiences with others who may be struggling, and together you can change the way that people look at getting older.

To access this offer and join the Gloucestershire-wide effort to educate people of all ages around ageing well, please compete this short form and Active Gloucestershire will send you a unique code that will enable you to access the course for free. More information about the training can be found here

We Can Move networks – Active Gloucestershire host regular networks to enable like-minded individuals, groups and organisations dedicated to promoting physical activity and wellbeing across Gloucestershire to connect. The networks allow for peer support, partnership working and informal learning. One network has a particular focus on inclusion and another focuses on active ageing. Find further information here
