Care Sector Support Team

The Care Sector Support Team (CSST) sits within the NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board. The team predominantly support staff working in older people’s care homes and offer free face-to-face training upon request. Topics can include: person-centred care, continence, diabetes, end of life awareness, tissue viability, pressure ulcers, basic foot care, acute illness, malnutrition and hydration, and oral health. The CSST also run a free falls awareness, prevention and response training programme for older people’s care homes, which is delivered using a “train the trainer” method. The falls training programme is bookable via the LearnPro Community platform.

The CSST run a monthly Meaningful Activity Peer Support Group, which is a webinar aimed at activity coordinators and those involved with activity provision to discuss everything activity-related, share ideas and network.
