Gloucestershire Care Providers Association
Gloucestershire Care Providers Association (GCPA) is a not-for-profit, membership body open to all independent providers of adult social care (private, not-for-profit and charitable organisations) delivering care to people in their own homes, in a residential or nurse setting, or day services, within Gloucestershire. The GCPA is run by a volunteer board who are senior members of staff or owners from a range of adult social care providers in Gloucestershire.
The GCPA offer the following training for adult social care workers:
Cyber security / Digital:
GCPA offer free, local support for care providers (both GCPA members and non-members) on data and cyber security. This includes support to complete an annual, online self-assessment of providers’ data and cyber security arrangements using the nationally-recognised Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).
Support is focussed on Care Quality Commission registered care providers in Gloucestershire. This is offered through one-to-one sessions with their digital officer, who can help to guide providers through reducing the risk of cyber crime and breaches to their data, carrying out annual self-assessment of your data using DSPT and complying with data protection legislation.
GCPA can also offer ASC-WDS digital support in a number of ways including signposting providers to relevant websites and walking you through the steps of data entry with step-by-step instructions and one-to-one sessions. ASC-WDS is useful for providers to keep up to date with staff training and improve your business practice.
Management:
GCPA are working in collaboration with the Institute of Health & Social Care Management (IHSCM) to offer GCPA members and the staff working within their organisation with free, unlimited access to the courses available on the IHSCM.
All GCPA members have access to the following:

- Bespoke courses, workshops, resources created for you by the IHSCM based on the needs of your staff members
