Managing Memory Together - Information and Education Service
Managing Memory Together sits within the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust and provides specialist memory assessment and support services to people with mild cognitive impairment and any type of dementia.
The Information and Education Service (IES), which sits within the Managing Memory Together Service, offers free information, advice and resources to people worried about memory, people living with dementia and anyone supporting someone living with dementia.
The service also provides a free countywide programme of both online and face-to-face information sessions to support people with dementia and their family members/friends to further understand their diagnosis and how to live as well as possible with dementia. The topics of the unpaid Carers’ Sessions are: Exploring Dementia, Exploring Changes, Exploring Communication and Next Steps. Topics for the sessions that include the person with dementia are: Memory and Dementia, and What’s Important to You. Please note that professional carers are welcome to shadow these education sessions to learn what the IES do and be able to recommend the service to people, however for dementia training aimed at professional carers, please see the offers by the Dementia Education Team.
